The Dwight Foster Public Library in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin holds the remains of Lorine's personal library. Some of these books were donated by her husband, Al Millen, at the time of her death. The rest were received as a bequest from Gail and Bonnie Roub.

Besides these books, the library also maintains a small archive of materials including photographs, sound and video recordings, original poetry and other miscellanea. This collection, as well as much of the archive collection belonging to the Hoard Historical Museum, has been digitized. The digital collection is available here. As far as we know, the majority of Lorine's personal papers were destroyed by her husband after her death per her request.

Access to the Lorine Niedecker collection held by the Dwight Foster Public Library is by appointment only.
